Dear Diane,
We were to the Dakota Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Medora, ND this past weekend.
You were on the Saturday night show. We enjoyed your material so very much! One poem you recited especially tickled my funny bone; made me laugh ‘til I cried; couldn’t wait for the next line, wondering where you were going with your thoughts and a host of other emotions hard to put into words! The poem was “Live Life Backwards”. After the show, I went out to the lobby to buy a book of yours that would have that poem in it and to meet you. I couldn’t find a book – or you! But, I did buy your CD that had the poem on it.
My problem – and hoping so much you will help me: I would love to share that poem with my friends at my Woman’s Club and tell them about you, and show the picture in Saturday’s program book of you, but kind of hard with just the CD. Would you please send me a copy of that poem? Enclosed is a self-addressed, stamped envelope. This would really mean so much to me!
The rest of your poems were wonderful, too, but this one just really struck me!
Thank you so very much!
Sincerely,
Kay Kuske |

Colorado singer and songwriter Will Dudley writes:
"Diane Tribitt is an amazing poet. Her strength of character and dedication to the cowboy way of life has won her friends and fans across the country. With her crystal writing style, using themes common to modern American cowboys, her poems are as clear to me as the oil on the canvases of Charlie Russell." |
